En sorgens dag

Ved dagens Moto GP på Misano banen ved San Marino, endte Moto 2 klassen i et tragisk dødsfald. Shoya Tomizawa væltede i højfartsvinget på den bagerste langside, og blev derefte ramt af både Scott Redding og Alex De Angelis

Shoya Tomizawa blev erklæret død kl. 14.15.

Moto GP drengene droppede champagnen efter løbet, og nægtede at udtale sig om eget løb. Deres kommentarer om eget løb og dagen idag vendte de således.:

Valentino Rossi: “I found out now, when things like this happen nothing else matters” “He was a lovely guy, it was a horrible accident.”

Andrea Dovizioso: “You forget sometimes how easily something like this can happen. Sometimes our sport is just too dangerous”

Dani Pedrosa: “Now my head is away from the race. There are no words. For the race everything was perfect but now I’m totally shocked.”

Aleix Espargarò “There is nothing to say on a day like this. One of our family is gone.”

Mika Kallio “Is a sad day today, for everyone.”

Randy De Puniet “I do not want to speak about me and my race. This week end ended in the most horrible way. My thoughts go to Shoya and his family”.

Colin Edwards “The race doesn’t count for much though when you hear the news about Tomizawa. My thoughts go out to his family and friends at this difficult time.”

Ben Spies “I want to express my sadness at the passing of Shoya Tomizawa. My thoughts are with his family and friends. It’s another sad loss for our sport.”

Alvaro Bautista “I heard the news about Tomizawa and I am just so sorry for him and all his family. It is a hard day for all riders, I am sure he will stay with us always and I hope he is now in a better place.”

Loris Capirossi “I want to send my condolences to Tomizawa’s family, this is a great tragedy and something that you never like to hear about.”

Chris Vermeulen “Very sad to read about Tomizawa, a great guy and talent. My thoughts go out to his family!”

Casey Stoner “I am deeply saddened for Tomizawa, his family and everybody who worked with him. It is something truly terrible and it left me breathless, like a week ago. It was a pleasure to watch him ride and I was looking forward to see him have a great career.”

Nicky Hayden “All this is irrelevant though compared with what happened to Tomizawa. I am really sad, we have lost two riders in two weekends. My thoughts are with his family and his team but I think the whole paddock has been hit hard by this tragedy. At the end of the day we are all brothers here. We have lost a talented kid with a great personality. I loved his style, his determination and the smile he always wore.”
