Nolan spist af Shark

Den franske styrthjelmproducent Shark's moderselskab – 2Ride Holding Group – har opkøbt italienske Nolan group, og opkøbet beskrives af parterne som en hensigtsmæssig forening af de respektive firmaers ekspertiser. Altså ikke en fjendtlig overtagelse.

2Ride Holding Group er med mere end 1000 ansatte en af det globale markeds store leverandører, og distribuerer sikkerhedsudstyr til mc-branchen samt udendørs sport i mere end 80 lande. Mærker som Shark, Bering, Ségura, Bagster og Cairn hører alle til under under moderselskabet.
Nolan
Italienske Nolan Group er grundlagt i 1972. Virksomheden der er en af Europas største hjelmproducenter, beskæftiger 360 medarbejdere, og producerer årligt 400.000 enheder. Produktion vil også fremover finde sted på fabrikken, og man forventer ingen afskedigelser. Nolan producerer også styrthjelme under det velkendte navn X-Lite, samt det blandt danske forbrugere nok mindre kendte navn Grex.
Vil vinde markedsandele
President of 2 Ride Holding Patrick Francois har erklæret, at formålet med at slå pjalterne sammen er at maksimere effekten af den samlede italienske, franske og europæiske ekspertise. Måske ikke så tosset at høste synergi-effekten ved sammenlægningen, og derved skabe optimale betingelser for vækst uden for Europa.
Og de forenede kræfter bliver der nok brug for, når der fremover gøres en ekstra indsats for at vinde markedsandele på det asiatiske og nordamerikanske marked.
I pressemeddelelsen fortæller Patrick Francois også, at de respektive firmaer's teams favner de samme værdier, og med en dedikeret indsats vil skabe endnu sikrere produkter, der samtidig er lettere at anvende.

With the consent of antitrust authorities, the 2Ride Holding Group has confirmed its acquisition of the Nolan Group.
As a result, the brands Nolan, X lite, Grex and N-Com are to join with Shark, Bering, Ségura, Bagster and Cairn to form a leading player in the market of protective equipment for motorcycle riding and outdoor sports.
2Ride Holding (SHARK, Bering, Bagster, Ségura and Cairn), leader in the French market for motorcycle and outdoor accessories, and the Italian group Nolan announced that their merger had been finalized.
The creation of such a strategic alliance between these two European companies attests to their intent on making significant inroads into the global marketplace and will enable them to pursue their geographic expansion plans.
With €150 million in sales revenue and a workforce of around 1,000, the Group distributes its products in over 80 countries worldwide and enjoys a global leadership status in the market of protective equipment for motorcycle and outdoor sports.
100% of its products are conceived, designed and created in Europe, and a good majority of them are even manufactured in the European territory.
